Due to somewhat popular-ish demand, I've started a cooking blog. Feel free to check it out.
Oh, and thanks, Ammon and Traci for the encouragement!

Pioneer Day Party
We had a lot of fun on Pioneer Day! Since we didn't really do anything for it last year, we thought it would be loads of fun to invited a few friends over for a BBQ. (We're really trying to be more social...)
Our friends the Hills, the Browns, and the Hamiltons came over. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, fruit, veggies, chips, lemonade, and home made ice cream. It was like Thanksgiving, only with Summer foods!
Here are some of my favorite pics from the evening's festivities. Enjoy!

Thanks, Uncle Nate, Aunt Melissa, and Family!
Happy Birthday, Yakko!
Yakko turned nine years old on Sunday, July 20, 2008. He's such a great kid! I just love the little gentleman.

We spent a couple of hours playing Clue together as a family. Yakko won three times in a row!
In honor of his birthday, here's a list my top nine favorite things about Yakko.
1. Yakko is such a gentleman. He's always getting the door for any girls or women around, waiting for everyone to be served, and uses such nice table manners.
2. Yakko is so loving! If ever I need a hug, I can always count on Yakko being the first to offer one.
3. Yakko is very smart! He is great with math, reading, spelling, writing, computers, science, history, and art. His intelligence blows me away!
4. Yakko is a good friend. He watches out for others, and treats his little brother extremely well.
5. Yakko knows what's right and tries to always live it. He has a very good conscience; he rarely has to be disciplined.
6. Yakko is so handsome! I think that he's one of the most beautiful boys ever in the history of the world! No wonder so many little girls have crushes on him! Hubba-hubba!
7. Yakko is very responsible. He takes his jobs seriously and always does his best.
8. Yakko works hard to be a scout. He is learning to make and keep goals--this will come in very handy in medical school. Yakko wants to be a surgeon.
9. Yakko has a testimony. He loves the Church and tries so hard to live his life in accordance to the scriptures.
We had our family's party for Yakko on Saturday evening at Chuck E. Cheese's.
Yakko spent most of the time there playing a racing car game: he got to be really good at it.
Sunday, we had Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Tiffanie, Uncle Alvaro, and Aunt Kim over for Yakko's favorite California Soup, home made rolls, and chocolate cake.
Grandma and Grandpa gave him Jenga.
It was a blast!
Happy Birthday, Yakko! I love you!
He ordered crepes for breakfast.

Happy Anniversary!
Friday, July 18, 2008 was our Tenth Wedding Anniversary. I must say that it was a great day!
Dad surprised me by booking a room in the hotel where we spent our Honeymoon. He got a babysitter (thanks, Hamiltons!), and took care of everything. It was wondefully romantic, and a great time.
Did you know that you can buy raspberries in the grocery store on the left? There's a farmer's market in Heber, but only on Thursday night. If you want to go to the farm stand there, you can buy "fresh local California corn" for $6 a dozen.
Dad is so good to me; I love him so very much! I feel like my life has been blessed and enriched in ways I could never otherwise imagine for having Dad in my life. He is my rock, my sweetheart, my best friend!
Happy Anniversary, Love!
It is in Dad's sense of humor and cuteness that I now present to you...
"The Many Faces of Dad ..."

I was floored to discover that my 100th blog has come up so quickly. I guess I've always been a talker, so it shouldn't have been so surprising. Blogging is something of a release for me, and I enjoy the online scrap booking/journaling aspect of it.
