Our Adventures In The Mid-West, Days 1-2

As some of you know, we just returned from a fabulous week-long vacation in the Mid-West. It was quite an adventure flying with four children! We had a wonderful time visiting some of the most beautiful country I've ever seen.

In order to keep this post from being waaaaaaaayyyyy too long, here are a collection of our memories from our first two days in Kentucky and Ohio. Enjoy!

Say Cheese!

Thursday of last week Wakko pulled a tooth...

on Friday, Mindy cut her top two teeth.
Today, Wakko pulled one top tooth...
... and then the other.
We figured they must be in some sort of competition because...

Mindy cut her bottom two teeth.
Say "Cheese"!

Blahhhhhhhg.

I'm just not feeling "it" today.

Yesterday dawned with a horrible back ache and stuffy nose. Since my sweet Yakko was playing with Mindy, I went back to sleep, waking early enough to realize I was too late to go to church: oh, and had forgotten I had committed to saying the closing prayer in sacrament meeting. Score one for naps!

Today I awoke with a scratchy throat. This is ultra irritating since we're leaving Saturday for an awesome vacation (our family's first big trip since Disneyland). Airborne, you are my truest friend today. The official diagnosis: stress.

Let's hope the peanut butter balls I made for the kids keep them happy this afternoon...

Sorry this post is so blahhhhhh. It matches my mood.

Random Life

Her latest look... when I don't do what she wants.

Stealing a kiss.

My four post bed... ahhhh it's calling to me!

Checking out the "bubbas" with Daddy.

Working on Scouts again.

Mommy has snacks for the kids?

My favorite reading spot.
Random pics? Absolutely. A good description of life around here... sadly, yes. Not much has happened to peak anyone's excitement this week. Life is life, and we're still here!

Nine Months Old

Little Miss Mindy is nine months old! It's hard to believe the time has gone by so quickly.

A few highlights for this month include:
pointing to people and things she wants
refusing baby food--but wanting any food we're eating
giggling tons
clapping for things she likes, including when she's pleased with herself
pulling herself to standing
running in her walker
petting the dogs
calling the dogs "Bubba"
saying "bubba", "ba-thus", "momom", "nay-nay", "bottle", and other various things

We love you, Little Miss!
