This Week's Highlights...

What a week! Highlights include:
Wakko made a really cool lion in art...
Dot got to hang out with her best friend...
Yakko stayed super focused in his school work and was exceptionally sweet...
and Peanut tried rice cereal.
Also, thank you to those who made the boutique such a success! It was tons of fun and we are planning on having another one in November or early December.

Sugar and Spice Boutique

This Saturday, during the fabulous hours that most people hold yard sales, I will be hosting a boutique.  Fun! Totally girly! Come join me at my house (if you don't have the address, please let me know... I will get it to you.) We will have hair bows, head bands, hair butterflies, fairy wings, tutus, wands, hats, 12 inch doll clothes, and more! A little bake sale of sorts is also in the works...
So basically, please show up with your favorite little girls (or little girls at heart!) in mind on Saturday, October 24th any time between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. ready to shop! (Okay, I wish I could, but I can't take credit cards... cash or checks work great, however!) Our prices are quite reasonable and it will be a blast!
*bring a friend and get a prize for free!*

A Short Conversation With Yakko

Yakko: Mom, I need you to enter this math assessment into the computer.
Me: Okay, but it isn't matching up with what it shows you were supposed to do today. Let's look at it.
Yakko: Well, it seems right to me.
Me: Okay, let's pull it up on the computer. (At this point, I notice that the assignment he did is half way through his workbook for the year.) Yakko, I don't think you did the right assignment. This is for unit 8. You're supposed to be in unit 3. This assessment is half way through the book!
Yakko: Huh!? I didn't notice!

By the way... he got 100% on the assessment.

Sweet Potatoes...

...are not her favortie food.

Scare-dy Cat!

This is the look I get any time I pull out the camera to take a picture lately...
How fitting; she's wearing a Halloween Kitty outfit!

It's 11:20 P.M....

Kitties climbing doors, laughing until one cries, getting potentially life changing (FABULOUS!) news, having friends over for dinner, hubby cooking scones for an hour, and listening to the sounds of my family sleeping... this is what makes life great.
I'm trying to let my mind rest so my body can too, but my heart (and mind) are so full of joy... it seems like sleep doesn't need to visit tonight.

Here, Kitty, Kitty!

Two nights ago I was taking out the kitchen scraps when one of these...

ran across the porch about 18 inches away from me.

Yesterday we got these

to take care of the problem.

Dot's named hers "McGonagall"

Yakko's named his "Crookshanks"

and Wakko's named his "Harry".
Can you guess the theme for their names?

Best of Friends

Wakko is such a great big brother! Every time he comes around, Peanut smiles from ear to ear and giggles like crazy. It's just about the cutest thing ever. Ever.

"You're Killing Me, Smalls!"

The movie "The Sandlot" is one of my family's all time favorites. One of our most commonly quoted lines from said film is " you're killing me, Smalls!". It's a line used during a conversation wherein "Smalls" expresses the fact he's never had a smore. We love to use this phrase to describe a super surprised moment, look, etc. This was a rare moment of perfect timing meets camera. I don't know for certain what surprised our little lady so much, but the look was so great, I had to share it!

Just Hangin With Kitty

Dot cleaned out a whole bunch of toys from her room last weekend. Being the sweetheart she is, Dot gave Peanut this adorable pink cat from Build-A-Bear Workshop. It's pretty much Peanut's favorite thing right now... other than her siblings, of course!

Five Months Old

At five months old, Peanut is changing every day!  Highlights include: chattering (a lot!), giggles, eating squash, easily bringing objects to her mouth, fasination with books, love for music, and a big crush on one of my SNAP performers (more on that later). We surely love our little lady and feel so fortunate to have her in our home!
