Happy Birthday to one of the most kind, generous, selfless people I know: Dot! You are an amazing young woman and it's my honor and privilege to get to be your mom!
This year's birthday has been a little different... we started celebrating on Monday because it worked out that you left for Youth Conference at 7 a.m. on your actual Birthday. Monday you were given your first gift: a big beach towel. Tuesday, you got to get your first professional pedi with me, Aunt T, Great-Aunt Cathy, and second cousin Porsia. Your toes look great! Wednesday you opened the remaining gifts: a new coat, super nice hair care stuff, new teenager make-up, and silky pink gloves. You had your favorite foods: Belgium waffles, grilled cheese sandwiches, and Monte Cristos. You ate a giant bowl of Rocky Road Ice Cream with NO CAKE! On your actual Birthday, you awoke to our traditional Birthday crepes, and left for Youth Conference... you will be missed!
My top favorite 14 things about Dot:
1. She is the best big sister anyone could EVER ask for! She loves her siblings sooooo much!
2. Dot is hilarious! Her sense of humor is fabulous.
3. She is humble. Although super multi-talented, she stays humble.
4. I love how she dances; she dances from her heart!
5. Dot is a great cook! If you haven't tried her cookies, you should!
6. She is very creative: she has a unique window to the world and has great ideas.
7. Dot is the best friend any one could ever hope to have.
8. What a listener! Dot is the type of person who will listen with both ears and her heart.
9. She is open and accepting of new people.
10. Dot is very smart; I know she'll do well in high school and college!
11. Dot is BEAUTIFUL!
12. She takes care of all her responsibilities and does so with a sunny attitude.
13. Dot has a testimony of the Atonement and shares it.
14. Dot is an all-around joy to be with! Her smile, attitude, and sparkling personality makes my day!
I love you, Dot! May your Birthday and year bring all they best in life!!!!!!
