Although I was happy with the results of the storage room, I must tell you that my OCD pressed me on. I couldn't stop with the storage room! The children's game closet was my next victim: we went through each game and determined whether or not we should keep it. We made certain all pieces to the games were available. We cleaned and reorganized that area. Could I stop there? Of course not. On to the craft items I continued.
By this point, I was starting to think I was crazy, but I was on a roll! I went through my "craft bin of terror" (named for the disorganized mess it was) and organized/cleaned it. I was feeling quite satisfied with this when I realized that Troy had been home from work for a while.
I started my projects at 8 yesterday morning and worked, taking one very short break, until 5:30 p.m. I missed chatting with Kate over the details for the cast party. I didn't play outside with the kids. I hadn't even noticed that Troy was home. Dinner plans? What's dinner? Yikes.
Things ended up just fine. I got a shower in (yay!), and made homemade pizza. The Hamiltons joined us for dinner, and we had a blast spending time with them until 11:00 p.m. It was a good day...
but I have no plans of repeating the cleaning obsessed part of it any time soon.
Oh, but those basement windows are calling my name...
